The podcard story

Podcard was founded by Anna Frey Taylor in 2019 — the year her grandmother, Narnie, turned 100.

To celebrate the milestone, Anna wanted to make something extra special for Narnie, something to bring Narnie’s favourite people together and provide an opportunity to reflect on her long and extraordinary life.

Anna asked each member of her family to record a message, sharing a special memory of Narnie, then wove the stories together with music to form an audiobook of memories.

The result was profound — not just for Narnie but the entire family. By collating her family’s stories, Anna had captured something of the richness of Narnie’s life.

She realised others might also find meaning through documenting the lives of those they love, and set up Podcard to help people share stories and memories from their own communities.

When she’s not creating podcards, Anna works as an audio producer for The Art Show from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She’s also worked with WBUR, Boston’s NPR affiliate radio station, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Venice Biennale.
